Sheri Harris

well as from her
independent practice she's
managed intermittently since 1995. She's written copy for many marketing
channels and initiatives,
supporting a wide variety of B2B and B2C
verticals, from Inc-rated
fast-growth firms to multi-national Fortune 100s.
As the Global Content Director for Office Depot,
she
successfully led
strategy and execution
that resulted in double-digit sales, AOV and margin growth for the
company.
She was responsible for
strengthening messaging consistency across multiple channels, including
copywriting for consumer retail advertising, e-commerce, B2B catalogs,
in-store shopping, as well as corporate
marketing, branding, and store employee training initiatives.
Office Depot is a $14 billion, 1000-store global retail chain and e-commerce
company. Sheri
worked on several additional projects with the company after her departure.
As Creative Director of the Direct Response
division for Fairfield Resorts,
she cut creative
department costs and
turnaround times, as well as developing several successful
direct mail and website campaigns that promoted over
30 national vacation
resort destinations. She also supported senior branding/marketing executives
with messaging strategy for content management programs, brand and tagline
positioning, DRTV scripts, marketing
collateral and corporate communications, loyalty programs, and B2B
alliances. She worked with Wyndham for years after its merger with
Fairfield, writing copy for hundreds of global destinations and resorts:
Wyndham remains a current client.
As Copy Manager for B2B cataloger and direct mail company G. Neil,
she beat established direct mail solo controls and drove measurable lift
across several key
catalog product lines.
Now known as Everglades Direct, G. Neil was a Top 100 Business-to-Business
cataloger who marketed both national brand and proprietary HR, employment
law, employment screening and motivational products and services across
14 different catalogs. Their master was a repeated Catalog Age Silver Award
winner. Sheri developed messaging strategy for all catalogs, direct mail,
trade advertising and most of the company's early online content, as well as
guided design strategy on many mailings, trade ads, package inserts and
other direct mail advertising. G. Neil was a client prior to and after her
staff role.
As Copy
and Communications Manager at Sunglass Hut International, a global
specialty retailer,
Sheri wrote CEO and senior executive committee speeches and
sales presentations, monthly 16-page newsletters, retail advertising, in-store
marketing displays, public relations materials and video scripts. Sunglass Hut was a client
after her departure.
Sheri holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Business Administration
from Florida Atlantic University.
